This one is all about story planning. There are many different ways to plan ideas for a story. This one is a quick, simple but fun way to get children interested in writing a sentence or short story.
What do you need?
Ball pit balls with different letters written on.
Whiteboard or paper with headings on.
How to Play:
Put the balls in a large plastic box.
On a whiteboard or paper write when, where and who.
Dig around the box and grab a ball.
Find the letter on it and answer the first question.
Continue this for the next questions until you have a simple plan for a sentence or story which the children can then use to write.
You could extend the questions to what, how and why to make the plan more in depth, depending on what you want the story to involve.
