So, this isn’t mind blowing but important to remember, I’ve simply used Playdoh! In my experience, older children rarely get the opportunity to play with Playdoh so hopefully they’ll be engaged with this activity. This activity will help them to read and write Roman numerals.
What do you need?
The chart in the picture drawn on a whiteboard or paper.
Write some numbers on the grid.

How to Play:
The game is to make the corresponding Roman Numeral out of Playdoh. I’ve done it on a whiteboard as the Playdoh sticks to it, so would be good for make and show me in the classroom.
You could have a Roman Numeral chart for the children to refer to and then hopefully they’ll start recognising the value of each numeral and be able to make them without referring to the chart.
