Aim of the Game
Be the first player to correctly write the plural form of six different words by rolling a dice and applying the correct plural rule.
What You Need
- 1 dice
- A list or chart showing plural endings linked to numbers 1–6 (for example: -s, -es, -ies, -ves, etc.)
- Six singular words, each matching one of the plural rules
- A piece of paper for each player with the numbers 1–6 written down
- A pencil or pen for each player
- 2 or more players
How to Play
- Prepare the Game
Create a chart that shows a plural ending for each number from 1 to 6.
- Provide six singular words, each one needing one of these rules to become plural.
- Set Up
Each player writes the numbers 1 to 6 down the side of their paper.
- Roll the Dice
Players take turns rolling the dice.
- Find the Matching Word
The number rolled tells the player which plural rule to use. They must find the singular word that matches that rule.
- Write the Plural
The player writes the correct plural form of that word next to the matching number on their paper.
- Continue Taking Turns
Players keep rolling the dice and writing the correct plural words until all six numbers on their sheet have been completed.
- Win the Game
The first player to correctly write all six plural words is the winner.
