Aim of the Game:
Here’s a practical way of finding equivalent fractions.
What do you need?
- Plastic cake containers
- Number discs
- Counters
How to Play:
- Place counters in the first two sections to build your first fractions (in this case 1/3). Children then place the correct number discs on top.
- Multiply the numerator and denominator by 2 and place the correct number of counters in the next section.
- Then place the corresponding number discs to make the fraction.
- Continue until you have found several equivalent fractions.
