What You Need:
Paper stars with 5 points each
Writing materials (pencils, pens, markers)
Math questions and corresponding answers (1 correct and 4 incorrect for each star)
How to Play:
Create Fraction Stars: Make paper stars with 5 points. Write a math question in the center of each star and five possible answers (1 correct and 4 incorrect) on each of the star’s points.
Fold and Conceal Answers: Fold each point of the star down to cover the possible answers, concealing them from view. Players should only see the math question in the center.
Take Turns Uncovering Points: Players take turns choosing a point on a star to uncover. This reveals one of the possible answers to the math question.
Determine Correct Answer: If the uncovered point reveals the correct answer to the math question, the player gets to keep the star. If not, the point is folded back, and it becomes the next player’s turn.
Accumulate Stars: Players continue taking turns, uncovering points, and collecting stars for correctly answering the questions. The game proceeds until all stars have been claimed.
Winning the Game: The player with the most stars at the end of the game is declared the winner of “Fraction Stars.”
Optional Variations: To add complexity, use more challenging math questions or explore different mathematical concepts. You can also set a time limit for each turn to increase the pace of the game.
