This is a great game for helping to learn times tables which children will really enjoy.
What do you need?
Gone Fishing Game – link here
Small stickers or labels with x0 to x12 written on them and stuck to the bottom of the fish.
Whiteboard and pen (optional)
How to Play:
Take turns to catch a fish and look at the calculation on the bottom.
With whichever times table you are working on, answer the question.
If playing on your own, score points for every correct answer and you could add in a time limit to see how many fish you can catch in the time.
If playing with two players, each player could catch a fish, answer the question and the person with the highest answer wins a point. Alternatively they can race to see who catches the most fish and achieves the most correct answers.
