Aim of the Game:
I love using games for learning and this version of Connect 4 is great for place value work including reading, writing, comparing and ordering numbers.
What do you need?
How to Play:
- Stick the place value labels on each column and then attach a number card (from 0-9) on every disc.
- Children can then work on their own or in pairs/small group and randomly pick a disc to go in each column.
- They should then read this number and have a go at writing it.
- Repeat this again to build another number, read and write it and then compare it to the first number (bigger or smaller).
- They could then build some more numbers and order them as well!
