Here’s a playful way to use the great ‘Pop Up’ games that some of you may have to help children with their spellings.
🎲 Put the spelling words face down on the table or floor.
🎲 Player one takes their turn by first rolling the dice.
🎲 Player two picks a spelling word and reads it out to player one.
🎲 If player one spells the word correctly they don’t have to put any icicles in the barrel but if they spell it incorrectly they have to put the number of icicles in the barrel that they rolled on the dice.
🎲 As usual, whoever makes Olaf or the Pirate pop up, loses.
Just a different, playful way to practise spellings.
