Spelling Bingo with a Twist

Aim of the Game:

This is a version of bingo but with a slight twist to help children learn how to spell a word correctly.

What do you need?

• Write 10-12 spelling words out on card or paper, one written correctly and one written incorrectly
• Each player also needs a 3×2 grid where they must choose and write one of the spellings on the card (the correctly written ones) in each box

How to Play:

🟠 Fold each spelling word in half and put in a box or bag.
🟠 Players take it in turns to take one card out of the bag, read it and decide if it’s spelt correctly or not.
🟠 If the word is spelt correctly and any player has it on their grid they can cross it off, if it’s not spelt correctly or the word is not on their grid, their turn is over and player two selects a word.
🟠 Play continues until one player has crossed all the words from their grid.
