“Write a Rocket” is a creative and educational game that challenges players to construct a sentence while building a rocket. The aim of the game is to be the first player to complete their rocket by correctly assembling the sentence parts.
What You Need
Rocket Parts: Prepare a set of rocket parts on separate pieces of paper or cards or download a copy here. On a separate piece of paper, draw each rocket part and label with ‘noun’, ‘relative clause’, ‘main clause’, ‘onomatoepia’ x2 and puntuation.
Dice: Use a regular six-sided dice.
Players: Gather a group of players to participate in the game.
How to Play

Taking Turns:
Players take turns rolling the dice.
Pick the Correct Piece:
The number rolled on the dice determines which type of sentence part the player needs to add to their rocket. For example, if the player rolls a 1, they may need to add a noun to their sentence.
Write Part of the Sentence:
The player selects a rocket part corresponding to the number rolled and writes the correct word/phrase in the appropriate location on their rocket.
Repeat:
Players continue to take turns rolling the dice, selecting the correct rocket part, and adding it to their rocket. The goal is to complete a grammatically correct sentence on their rocket.
Building the Rocket:
As players add more sentence parts, their rockets take shape. The first player to construct a full and coherent sentence on their rocket is the winner.
