This is a bit of a Halloween inspired game to help children learn their times tables but it can be used all year round too, it’s a firm favourite! You can download the printable you need to play for free here:
What do you need?
Spider game template (get the free printable or draw your own)
Two dice
How to Play:
Draw the body of a spider and 8 circles (4 on each side of the body). In the circles write a multiple of 8 (number in the 8 times table) between 2x and 12x. You can play this for any times table you are practising.
This would be best as a two player game so each player would need a spiderโs body.
The aim of the game is to be the first person to put all the legs on the spider.
Roll the dice and add the numbers. If you have that multiple of 8 in one of the circles, you can draw the leg from the body to the circle on the spider. If you donโt have the multiple of 8 you roll again.
Keep rolling as fast as you can until you have found all of the spiders legs and drawn them on!
