Gone Fishing Times Tables – Count in Multiples (Yr3)

Gone Fishing Times Tables – Count in Multiples (Yr3)

Aim of the Game:

This is a great game for helping to learn times tables which children will really enjoy.  This can either be played as a timed one player game or as a challenge with two players or more.

What do you need?

  • Gone Fishing Game
  • Labels/stickers with x 0 – x 12 and, if you have enough fish, x100, x50 x1000.  Stick one of each sticker on the bottom of each fish.

How to Play:

  • Choose the times table you want to practise.
  • If playing with one player, set the timer for 3 minutes.
  • The player should see how many fish they can catch in the time and how many correct answers they give.  Can they beat their score each time?
  • If playing with two or more players, players have to race to see how many fish they can catch and how many correct answers they then give to the multiplication questions.
