Snowman Spellings

Snowman Spellings

Aim of the Game:

Snowman Spellings is an engaging spelling game designed to make learning fun. The objective is to correctly spell words by bouncing a ball into sections of a mince pie container, each containing a part of a snowman. The challenge is to spell the words correctly to collect all the snowman parts and build the snowman before your opponents.

What You Need:

  • A snowman cut into six parts (head, body, 2 arms, buttons, hat) – add your email address below to get it sent to you.
  • Mince pie container
  • Spelling words cut up into individual letters
  • A small ball

How to Play:

  1. Prepare the Snowman Parts: Ensure the snowman is cut into six distinguishable parts: head, body, 2 arms, buttons, and a hat.
  2. Prepare the Spelling Words: Cut up spelling words into individual letters. Mix them up to add an element of challenge.
  3. Assemble the Container: Place the individual letters of each word into separate sections of the mince pie container (one word per section). Add one of the snowman parts to each section, distributing them evenly.
  4. Start Bouncing: Players take turns bouncing the small ball into the sections of the container.
  5. Spell the Word: When the ball lands in a section, the player must spell the word correctly using the letters present in that section. If spelled correctly, they collect the corresponding snowman part.
  6. Build the Snowman: Continue bouncing the ball, spelling words, and collecting snowman parts. The first player to spell all the words correctly and assemble their entire snowman wins the game.

This game not only reinforces spelling skills but also adds an exciting physical element with the ball bouncing. It’s a race against time and opponents to see who can successfully spell the words and build their snowman first.
