This game will help children to find equivalent (same value but look different) fractions, decimals and percentages in a fun way.
You need some Duplo blocks (or any other type of blocks you have), a whiteboard pen and a couple of figures.
🧱 Build a small structure around each figure and explain that the rest of their roof needs to be built so they don’t get wet in the rain! Make sure you write a fraction on each house (mine are the half house and the quarter house).
🧱 On single blocks, write an equivalent fraction, decimal and percentage.
🧱 Turn the single blocks face down on the table.
🧱 Children take turns to pick a block and see if it equivalent to their house fraction. If it is, they can add it to the roof and if it isn’t, they must put it back on the table (face down).
🧱 Play continues until the winner is the first one the complete their roof (by finding one equivalent fraction, decimal and percentage).
