Film Years Pairs – Roman Numerals (Yr5)

Aim of the Game:

This activity involves children matching a film, with the year it was made in Roman Numerals, to the year in numbers.

What do you need:

• Roman Numeral Film cards – download here
• List of Roman numerals and their values (optional)

How to Play:

• Lay the cards face down on a table.
• I would provide children with a Roman numeral chart to help them with this but they may also be able to use their knowledge of the films to help them along too.
• Play it as a simple matching pairs game – turn over a film card and a date and if they match you can keep the cards.
• The person with the most pairs at the end of the game wins.
