I don’t know if any of you know a game called ‘Town and Country’ but it’s a Christmas family favourite for us! This adaptation is great for practising different grammar terms.
Choose 10 categories (or less depending on the age of the children).
Select a letter (we used to use a magazine or newspaper and pick a random letter by closing your eyes and putting your finger on the page).
In 3 minutes, try to name something in each category beginning with that letter.
At the end of the time each person takes turns to reveal their word for each category. If you are the only one with that word you score 10 points or if you have the same as someone else you don’t score any points.
