Here’s a really quick set up activity for learning/practising number bonds to 10 (two numbers that add together to make 10). It literally took me 5 minutes to set up and can be played individually or in pairs. You could also adapt it for number bonds to 20 or 100.
What do you need?
A tens frame
Board or large piece of paper with numbers 0-10 written on
Two hands (or four if playing in pairs)
Some 0-10 number cards folded up
How to Play:
Pick one of the number cards and place that many counters on your tens frame.
Count how many you have left and splat both of the numbers that make 10.
This could be played individually or, if done in pairs, it would be a race to see who can splat both numbers first.
