The aim of the game is to be the first player to cross out all of the synonyms on their bingo grid.
What You Need:
A Storybook: Choose a storybook as the source of adjectives. It can be any book with descriptive words.
Pen and Paper: To write down the adjectives and create your bingo grid.
How to Play:
Prepare the Storybook:
Start by selecting a storybook as the basis for the game. It should contain various adjectives.
Identify Adjectives:
Read the storybook carefully, paying attention to descriptive words.
Create a list of all the adjectives you find in the story.
Create the Bingo Grid:
Each player selects six adjectives from the list.
For each chosen adjective, write down a synonym in a bingo grid. A synonyms are words that are different but have a similar meaning. For example, if you chose “big” as an adjective, you could write “huge” as the synonym.
Start Reading:
Begin reading the storybook again, but this time with a twist.
Whenever an adjective is read from the story, check if it matches any of the synonyms on your bingo grid.
Mark Synonyms:
If the adjective you hear in the story matches one of the synonyms on your bingo grid, cross it off.
Winning the Game:
The first player to successfully cross off all six of their synonyms on the bingo grid wins the game.
